Cloud Dashboard
The Carmen Cloud Dashboard is the workspace management interface for API keys, subscriptions, usage reporting, temporary event storage and webhook forwarding. It is the place where operational settings are grouped around workspaces rather than individual users.
Use the Dashboard to:
- create and select workspaces,
- invite users and assign workspace roles,
- manage subscriptions, billing actions and prepaid Carmen credits,
- create multiple API keys for different integrations,
- decide which Carmen products each API key can call,
- pin API versions or add engine parameter overrides per key,
- inspect workspace-level and API-key-level usage,
- enable temporary event storage and webhook forwarding,
- run Vehicle and Transportation & Cargo demo calls with your own keys.
Workspaces

Subscriptions

Core Conceptsโ
Workspaceโ
A workspace is the main business object in the Dashboard. Subscriptions, credits, API keys, usage statistics, stored events and hook settings are attached to a workspace rather than to a single user account.
Userโ
Users can own workspaces or be invited to existing workspaces. Workspace access is role based, so the same user can have different permissions in different workspaces.
Common roles:
- Owner โ full control over the workspace, including ownership transfer and user management.
- Administration โ operational management such as API keys, product access and integration settings.
- Billing โ subscriptions, credit purchases, invoices and billing portal access.
API Keyโ
API keys belong to a workspace. Each key can be limited to specific Carmen products and can carry product-specific settings such as API version overrides and engine parameter overrides.
Product Entitlementโ
A public API call succeeds only when the API key is valid, the key is enabled for the target product, and the workspace has a matching subscription or available credits.
Billing Regionโ
Purchases and subscriptions are processed in the Stripe account assigned to the workspace. If the workspace has no previous purchase, the Dashboard asks the user to choose the correct billing company before opening Stripe checkout.
