Subscriptions and Credits
Subscriptions are managed per workspace. A user may belong to several workspaces, and each workspace can have different product access.
Product Cards
The Subscriptions tab shows the products available for the selected workspace:
- Carmen Recognition Service for Vehicle API and Transportation & Cargo API
- Carmen ID Recognition Service for document recognition APIs
- Carmen License Service for Carmen Freeflow and Carmen Go licensing
Each card shows the current subscription state, renewal or cancellation status, quantity where applicable and available Carmen credits.
Carmen Credits
Carmen credits are prepaid usage credits. They can be useful for testing, overflow or workspaces that do not have a recurring Carmen Recognition subscription. Credits are consumed only when no active subscription covers the request.
For Vehicle API usage, one credit unit contains 1,000 lookups. The Dashboard allows purchasing 10-999 units in one transaction. Purchased credits remain available until they are used.
Monthly Carmen Recognition Service packages include:

Billing Region
If a workspace has already completed a purchase or subscription, its Stripe region is fixed by the billing record. If no purchase exists yet, the Dashboard asks the user to choose the correct billing company before opening a Stripe checkout component. Customers on the American continent are served through the US Stripe account; customers in other regions are served through the global Stripe account.
Billing Actions
Depending on the product state, the product detail modal can open plan selection, buy credits, update an active subscription, cancel a subscription or renew a subscription that is set to end at the end of the period.
