Workspaces
Workspaces separate users, API keys, billing and stored API data. A newly registered user receives a default workspace, and additional users can be invited to collaborate.
What Belongs to a Workspace
- subscriptions and Carmen credits
- API keys
- API key product access and override settings
- usage statistics
- temporary event storage and hook forwarding settings
- user memberships and invitations
Ownership
Each workspace has one owner. The owner can manage the workspace and can transfer ownership to another active user in the workspace.
Invitations
Workspace owners or administrators can invite users by email. Pending invitations can be cancelled before they are accepted. Once accepted, the user receives workspace access according to the selected role.
Roles
Roles control Dashboard and backend API access. The current Dashboard separates administration and billing responsibilities so that users can be granted only the permissions they need.
| Role | Typical purpose |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full workspace control, including ownership transfer. |
| Administration | Manage workspace settings, users and API keys where permitted. |
| Billing | Manage subscriptions, billing portal access and purchase flows. |
| Editor / API user | Use API keys and operational API access without billing or user-management authority. |
Switching Workspaces
Use the workspace selector at the top of the Dashboard. The selected workspace is remembered locally by the browser. If a workspace is deleted, the Dashboard falls back to the first available workspace.
